Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

stanislaw stanley

finds documents containing 'stanislaw' or 'stanley

stanislaw or stanley

same as above

stanislaw and maria

finds documents containing both 'stanislaw' and 'maria'

stanislaw not maria

finds documents containing 'stanislaw' but not 'maria'

(stanislaw not maria) and wladyslaw

finds documents containing 'Wladyslaw ', plus 'stanislaw' but not 'maria

stan*

finds documents containing words starting with 'stan'
