Notes about this genealogy web site:
These are all direct ancestors of one individual going back in
some places 12 generations to the mid 1500's or to places like France, Canada,
Poland, Germany and what used to be called Czechoslovokia. The
Ancestry starts with the Grandparent listed as a child on the Family Page of the
Great-Grandparent generation. Children of the Grandparents will not be
listed. Grandchildren of the Grandparents will not be listed. This
is a privacy policy to protect living individuals.
The purpose of this site is not to understand the actual
"Family Tree" but to find individuals possibly related to you in the tree. Chances are you
knew who you were looking for before you got here. If not, try the search
page for your surnames. Some of the individuals in this site are not
listed in the index. An example not included in the index would be a
sibling of one of the direct ancestors or a spouse of one of those siblings.
All individuals are listed with the name they were born with (to
the best of my knowledge).
-
Example: If a male was born with the name Charles Bottcher and
later changed his name to Carl Betker he will be listed as Charles Bottcher with
the notation aka Carl Betker.
-
Example: If a female was married, she will be listed with her
maiden name and not her married name. In the event of multiple marriages,
she will still be listed with her original maiden name.
Index Pages
Main Index
The main page has a list of all surnames and an alpha letter
link of each surname.
Alpha Indexes
These pages have all direct ancestors indexed in alphabetical
order on those pages.
Paternal & Maternal Family
The ancestors of the husband and
wife are noted in Bold on these
pages. An alphabetized list of last and first name is also listed.
Family Pages
Family pages contain the Husband and Wife on a Parent table and
any children on a Children table.
Parent Table
In the Parent table the Husband and the Wife are listed.
The information fields included are Name, Born, Died, Father, and Mother.
Additional information such as cities or countries are listed if known. Fields
with links are the Father and Mother fields. Clicking on the name of the
Father or the Mother will move to the Family Page of that parent. The
person from the previous page will now be listed in the Children table.
Children Table
In the Children table every known child of the parents will be listed
in birth order to the best of my knowledge. The information fields
included are Name, Born, Died, Spouse, Spouse Born, and Spouse Died. The same
information will be listed for any siblings.
The direct ancestors will be listed in Bold.
Siblings of these individuals are currently not listed in the Index of Surname
pages. There is a search page for searching other names on this site.
Maybe you're a relative of one of the siblings.
Search Page
The search form may be used to search for individuals in this
web containing specific names, dates, cities, countries or combinations of
words. The text search engine will display a weighted list of matching
documents, with better matches shown first. This is a very basic text search.
Site Map
The Site Map page is a hierarchical listing of all the pages in
this web that can be reached by following links from the top-level file "index.htm".
Page titles are displayed if they exist, otherwise the entries are file names.
Contact Page
The Contact page is currently planned for a later
date. You may always email the author in the meantime.
